Today,i would like to share about network that i have studied in the second semester in Pahang Matriculation College...
First and foremost...What is network???Network is a collection of computers and devices connected together via communication devices and transmission media...They are using physical wires or cables but some are wireless...
Then,i also learned about network architecture...The definition is design of computers,devices and media in a network...The categories of network architecture are peer to peer and client server network...Peer to peer is a simple and inexpensive network that typically connects fewer than 10 computers...Each computer called a peer has a equal responsibilities and capabilities...They are ideal for very small businesses and home users...They are also both suppliers and consumers of resources...The second is client server network...Client is a computer request from the server while server is a computer provides resources to client...Sometimes,they are called a host computer...A server can manage several clients simultaneously...
After that,i learned about classification of network...They are divided into three classes which are Locaal Area Network (LAN) ,Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) ,and Wide Area Network (WAN)...LAN is a network that connects computers and devices in a limited geographical area such as network at home,network in computer lab and network inside office building...MAN is a high speed network that connects local area network in a metropolitan area...For example,traffic light monitoring system...WAN is a network that covers a large geographical area located within a countryside and a worldwide network using a variety of wired and wireless transmission media...As for example,car navigation system.
